EXPOSURE STUDIO

HOW CAN I BOOK THE STUDIO?

Anyone can book the studio by visiting https://exposure.skedda.com/booking

WHAT DAYS/TIMES IS THE STUDIO OPEN?

The studio is open 365 days a year from 6am-9pm by appointment only. Hours outside of this timeframe are available upon request.

DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER TO BOOK THE STUDIO?

Nope! Anyone can book any time... but our members get super awesome discounts and perks!

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?

Glad you asked! Just visit the home page to see which membership is right for you. The sign up is easy and only takes a few minutes. The studio will email you the login information for booking on Skedda (our booking calendar) that reflects your membership discount.

AM I LOCKED INTO A CONTRACT WHEN I BECOME A MEMBER?

No- our memberships are all month to month and there is NO ANNUAL COMMITMENT. There are huge perks for keeping your membership active more than 12 months. We also limit the number of active memberships at any given time, so if you give up your spot, there is no guarantee on when another spot will become available.

WHAT PERKS DOES A MEMBER RECEIVE?

Members have special pricing per hour that is automatically applied to their booking calendar in Skedda. They also get discounts on studio workshops and classes. Members have first dibs on styled sets and direct input into studio upgrades and offers. Members are featured in the studio monthly marketing email and serve as the referral base when a customer is looking for a recommendation.

DOES THE STUDIO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF ACTIVE MEMBERS?

Yes! In an effort to ensure that there is enough available time on the calendar open for booking, the studio does limit the number of active members.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY BOOKED HOURS IF I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?

Any hours booked out more than 30 days are forfeited. You will have the option to keep the booked time, but will be required to pay the full price for the hours. If you choose not to keep the hours, your reservation is forfeited and the time becomes available for others to book!

WILL MY MEMBERSHIP MONTHLY FEE BE PRORATED IF I CANCEL IN THE MIDDLE OF A MONTH?

NO! Unfortunately we do not prorate your monthly member fee. Once your membership fee is paid for the month, it is non-refundable.

DO I HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT TO BECOME A MEMBER?

NO! There are no contracts associated with memberships, however, we will send you a document to sign that states that you understand the studio rules.

WILL THERE BE OTHER PEOPLE IN THE STUDIO DURING MY BOOKED TIME?

You have complete control over who enters/exits the rented space during your scheduled time. During regular office hours, there will be 1-2 people working from an enclosed office on the 2nd floor.

ARE SET-UP & CLEAN-UP TIME INCLUDED IN MY RESERVATION?

YES! Please make sure that you book enough time to set up and clean up WITHIN your reserved time block. You must be out by the end of your block time to ensure others can start their own reservation on time.

AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP?

All renters are responsible for the clean-up of the rented space and are responsible for putting the studio back to exactly how they found it. Trash should be in trashcans, equipment returned to it’s proper place, and any larger trash is disposed of in the outside dumpster. If the studio is not in the same condition when rented, renter agrees to pay, (as applicable), a minimum of $100 cleaning fee (based on the amount of time to clean the studio at a rate of $100 per hour). Once you access the studio, if you feel that there is any unkept area, please contact us immediately.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DAMAGE THE STUDIO/EQUIPMENT/PROPS?

The name of the person who made the reservation is responsible for any damage to the studio including spills, scratches, excessive wear, marks or stains on furniture, fixtures, floors, or painted surfaces. The studio and all furnishings and equipment therein must be left in clean and good condition- normal wear and tear is expected. If there is damage to the studio/equipment/props, renter will be charged the cost to repair and/or replace any damage. Once you access the studio, if you feel that there is any damage to any of the furnishings/equipment/studio, please contact us immediately.

WHAT SECURITY FEATURES DOES THE STUDIO HAVE IN PLACE?

When you are inside the studio with your client, we encourage you to keep the front and back door locked. There are security cameras throughout the studio that are recording 24/7. The studio is not located in a high crime area, though we always caution clients to be alert & safe.

IS THERE HELP AVAILABLE FOR SET-UP & CLEAN-UP?

Yes, if you would like help setting up for your session and/or cleaning up after your session, please text/call/email before your reserved time. We are happy to help!

ARE THERE STUDIO ASSISTANTS AVAILABLE IF I NEED A SECOND SET OF HANDS?

Yes! Please let us know ASAP if you would like a second set of hands to help with your session (2nd shooter/client check in/etc) and we will help schedule an assistant. Fees may apply.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I BOOK THE STUDIO?

Reservations may be made 12 months (365 days) in advance.

DOES THE STUDIO PROVIDE HOLIDAY SETS?

Holiday Styled Sets will be announced in July of each year. While the styled sets offer creative set-ups and ideas, they are not mandatory to use and can be moved for your personalized sets as well. They can also be mix and matched and our studio ninjas are happy to help prepare the perfect set up for you!

HOW DO I DISPLAY MY CLIENTS PHOTOS IN THE RECEPTION FOR THEM TO REVIEW AND SELECT?

Most laptops and devices now have the ability to mirror onto a nearby smart TV. If you need assistance setting this up, please just let us know and we are happy to help. You may also bring a USB cord that is compatible with your device.

ARE PETS PERMITTED IN THE STUDIO?

No, unfortunately the HOA does not allow pets in the studio at this time.

CAN I SHARE MY RESERVATION WITH ANOTHER PHOTOGRAPHER?

The member who books the reservation is responsible for the studio during the reserved time. This includes making sure the parking rules are followed, assuming responsibility for any damages to the studio or props during the reserved time, and making sure the studio is left in the same condition.

CAN I INCORPORATE GLITTER, SMOKE BOMBS, FIRE OR LOOSE POWDER?

No. Exceptions to the rules can be made by making arrangements with studio staff prior to your reservation.

HOW DO I CANCEL/MOVE MY RESERVATION?

You may cancel/move your reservation if it is more than 20 days (480 hours) before your reserved time by contacting the studio. Reservations less than 20 days (480 hours) and more than 3 days (72 hours) can be moved to another available slot (free of charge) or cancelled (for a $200 fee) by contacting the studio. Reservations cancelled less than 72 hours out are non-refundable.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM RUNNING LATER THAN MY RESERVED TIME?

If there is no reservation following yours, the studio is happy to extend your reserved time. We will always try to accommodate our clients as best we can. If there is another reservation following yours and you and/or one of your guests does not exit by the end of your reserved time, the following overtime fees apply: $200/hr and are billed in 15 minute increments. (For practical purposes, this means that if you are in the space from 1 to 15 minutes beyond your allotted time, your credit card will be billed an additional $50 in late fees. 16 to 30 minutes over will incur a fee of $100, etc…)

CAN I BRING MY OWN PROPS/FURNITURE INTO THE STUDIO FOR MY SESSION/EVENT?

Yes, of course you can! Need help moving things around? Just let us know. We have ninjas ready to jump in and help you do the heavy lifting so you can get to doing what you love!

IS OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINK PERMITTED INTO THE STUDIO?

IS EXPOSURE STUDIO A NATURAL LIGHT STUDIO?

Exposure Studio was built with all photographers and content creators in mind. The back garage roll down door can be rolled up to allow soft natural light to flood the back area of the main studio. If you are looking to control your light and light sources, the garage door can be rolled down. The smaller studio (between the reception and the main studio) is designed for photographers who specialize in babies and toddlers, and for this reason, studio lights and light modifiers are used to create the perfect exposure.

Exposure Studio loves to purchase lighting equipment from MoLight & Paul C. Buff- newborn and sitter/toddler props from Rozzi Rayne, Luneberry, and Etsy- wardrobe from At My Blanket, Mia Joy, Sweet Baby Photo Props, and others- Floordrops and backdrops from R2 Backdrops and others, and studio props/furniture from Home Goods. The 2 light pink corresponding parking spots are designated for the studio only. All parking on the backside of the building is open as well as the spots in the front and intermittent throughout the interior of the building marked “GUEST" (outlined in red).
